Global Pork Production to Slow Down

Pork markets continue to be under pressure

Pork markets around the world continue to be under pressure, although a gradual recovery of balance has already begun. This is noted in the Rabobank report Global Pork Quarterly Q3 2026.

According to the assessment, global pork production will slow down in the second half of 2026, but pork prices remain low due to stagnant demand and an oversupply, as reported by Agroexport. The volumes of global pork trade in the second half of the current year will generally remain stable despite structural changes.

“The structure of exports is changing: the share of the European market has decreased due to disease-related issues and weakened demand from China, while Brazil is rapidly increasing its share. At the same time, the structure of imports is also changing: Mexico and the Philippines have significantly increased imports, while China has reduced volumes,” the authors note.
