Customs officials in Georgia are inspecting Armenian shipments, causing delays. Driver Alexander, who is transporting Armenian cognac to Poland, questions why goods are being sent for laboratory checks. He lost two days due to delays at the border.
Alexander notes that at the Georgian customs terminal 'Gezi', he saw about a dozen Armenian trucks facing the same issue. Last year, Georgian customs also inspected Armenian alcoholic beverages heading to Russia, which caused dissatisfaction among exporters.
Starting from July 10, individuals cannot export more than 5 kg of fruits and vegetables from Armenia. The Food Safety Inspection Body stated that the aim is to ensure the traceability of exported products.
