The German automotive group Volkswagen AG (VW) reduced its global deliveries by 8.6% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, down to 2.08 million units. The company reported this.
At the same time, deliveries showed different dynamics across regions. In Western Europe, they increased by 1.8%, in Central and Eastern Europe by 6.7%, in North America by 7.7%, and in South America by 9.4%.
On the other hand, Volkswagen's deliveries in China fell by 36.6%. In other Asian countries, the decline was 7.2%, while in the Middle East and Africa, it was 1.9%.
In the April-June 2026 period, the company's electric vehicle deliveries decreased by 4.2%, totaling 238.4 thousand units. The most significant demand drop was recorded in the USA, where sales nearly halved, as well as in China, where they decreased by 1.6 times. Meanwhile, in Europe, electric vehicle deliveries increased by 5.7%.
According to the results for the first half of 2026, Volkswagen's global deliveries decreased by 6.3%, reaching 4.13 million vehicles. The largest decline was again recorded in China at 25.9%, while the highest growth was noted in South America at 8.3%.
From January to June, electric vehicle deliveries decreased by 5.8%, down to 438.5 thousand units. Of these, deliveries in the USA fell by 3.2 times, while in China, they decreased by 1.9 times.
