Vector for Development: Armenian Association of Miners and Metallurgists Expands Strategic Partnership

The Armenian Association of Miners and Metallurgists Signs New Agreements

The annual reporting conference of the Armenian Association of Miners and Metallurgists (AAMM) took place in Yerevan on July 2, during which two important memoranda of cooperation were signed:

These documents aim to set a new direction and fill the interaction between AAMM and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA, as well as with the Union of Geologists of Armenia with new content:

The memoranda were signed by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the RA David Khudatyan, the Chairman of the Union of Geologists of Armenia Vagan Grigoryan, and the President of the Armenian Association of Miners and Metallurgists Vardan Djhanyan:

During the conference, reports on the work done in the past period, key trends in the industry, recorded achievements, and long-term prospects were presented:

The participants also outlined future plans, new avenues for expanding cooperation, and steps for international integration:

Welcoming the guests, AAMM President Vardan Djhanyan emphasized the strategic importance of the mining and metallurgy sector for the country's economy:

He noted that in recent years, the significance of this sector has become much more visible and evident to society:

The Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Asatur Vardanyan emphasized in his speech that the development of the mining sector requires a responsible approach, broad implementation of modern technologies, adherence to strict environmental standards, and open dialogue with the public:

According to him, it is on these principles that the ministry builds its policy aimed at improving the legislative framework, simplifying administration, and expanding international partnerships:

“In this context, we attach particular importance to cooperation with our partners, especially with AAMM:

We have close relations with the Association: the working group, which has been operating for about a year, has recorded tangible results and is actively involved in the reforms being implemented:

Today’s memorandum is viewed as a powerful incentive for further deepening our interaction:

I am confident that it will bring the state, the private sector, and our scientific community closer together, contributing to the sustainable development of the industry:

This goal will also be served by the joint fund being created:

It will enable more systematic research analytics, assess the effectiveness of natural resource use, and increase the investment attractiveness of the sector,” summarized the deputy minister:
