Vardan Khachatryan, the Executive Director of Armenian Card, stated that the launch of cash-back in 2026 will increase the coverage of ArCa cards to 24-25%:
“In these 5 months, 290,000 ArCa cards have been issued, and an additional 24,000 active cards were added in June. As a result, the total number of ArCa cards in Armenia reached nearly 1 million, of which 946,000 participate in the cash-back program,” Khachatryan said:
He also informed that 2.1 billion drams have already been returned under the cash-back program for the first half of the year, while the planned amount for the entire 2026 is 7 billion drams:
Khachatryan noted that the continuation of the cash-back program will depend on budget financing:
“We are ready to continue this program in 2027,” he added:
Khachatryan also emphasized that ArCa cards will be able to be linked to Google Pay and Apple Pay systems by the end of 2026 or early 2027:
