The US authorities have doubled the funding of the TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund from $201 million to $402 million. This was reported by the American website highergov.com, which tracks government grants.
The TRIPP+ Enterprise Fund was established at the beginning of this year, on January 26, two weeks after the meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. At the end of the meeting, the diplomats published a document stating that the parties would establish the TRIPP Development Company to develop the infrastructure of the TRIPP route.
Armenia will hold 26% of the shares, while the US will hold 74%, specifically TRIPP Development Company US, which will be established in the city of Delaware.
The head of the TRIPP+ Fund is Konstantin Sokolov, who is a 20% shareholder in the mobile operator
