After the Constitutional Court's (CC) decision on July 4, a new phase of the political crisis has begun in Armenia. Analyst Tigran Dumikyan points out that the CC's decision to uphold the Electoral Commission's ruling to strip the Prosperous Armenia party of its parliamentary mandates has caused significant disappointment even among key figures of the ruling Civil Contract party's pro-Western wing.
This situation indicates that representatives of the government, who were previously confident in their positions, are now beginning to realize that the political system of which they are a part may be at risk.
Tigran Dumikyan also emphasizes that the opposition must actively participate in parliamentary political struggle, as the time demands action. He notes that the government, losing public trust, is resorting to repressive methods to divert attention.
