The State Revenue Committee's Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department has developed and implemented comprehensive operational and investigative measures aimed at uncovering economic entities engaged in joint activities using criminal schemes in the fuel sector. This was reported by the SRC of Armenia.
Information was received by the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the SRC indicating that aviation kerosene is being imported from the Islamic Republic of Iran into Armenia, with no records of its sale in the SRC's information database.
As a result of the comprehensive operational and investigative measures taken to prevent and uncover tax violations, it was revealed that R. K. created nine companies through proxies. Under the names of these companies, a significant volume of aviation fuel was imported from the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, which was subsequently sold to various individuals operating in Armenia without the issuance of appropriate accounting documents.
Of these nine companies, three did not submit the required sales reports, while the reports submitted by six companies contained distorted data, thereby avoiding the payment of taxes in particularly large amounts.
An analysis of the factual data and circumstances revealed that the activities of the companies founded and managed by R. K. caused the state a loss of approximately 870 million drams.
Reports of apparent crimes have been submitted to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, where criminal proceedings have been initiated. The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and necessary investigative actions are being carried out to clarify all circumstances of the case, as well as the complete circle of individuals involved in the alleged criminal group.
The Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the SRC continues to take necessary measures not only to uncover the committed crimes but also to prevent them, while simultaneously urging economic entities to declare their actual sales volumes.
