Ameriabank held an Investor Day on July 30, 2023, discussing the results of the first half of the year in financial markets. The event featured an analysis of the S&P 500 index's dynamics, which includes stocks from 500 of the world's largest companies, including Apple, Nvidia, Google, Amazon, and others.
Ameriabank's Chief Financial Markets Analyst Gurgen Ayvazyan reported that the capitalization of the top ten companies in the S&P 500 amounts to $74 trillion, while the total capitalization of the U.S. stock market is $77 trillion. He noted that the technology sector, particularly the semiconductor segment, has seen significant growth.
The main news from Investor Day was the announcement of new conditions for investors on the My Invest platform. The head of Ameriabank's investment tribe, Artush Yengibaryan, stated that users making regular purchases can now make transactions on the My Invest platform with a commission of $1, down from the previous $5.
“I am sure many have been waiting for this news. I believe this opportunity will bring everyone to the platform for proper and long-term investments,” he said.
He also mentioned that the number of investors on the My Invest platform has increased by 72% in the first half of the year, indicating that the platform is becoming more accessible and understandable for users.
