On July 8, Iranian Ambassador Khalil Shirgolami stated at a press conference that the Iranian side regrets that the Armenian-Iranian trade center project has not been successful. He emphasized that the project was based on goodwill and an interesting idea, as well as the desire to create an Armenian-Iranian trade center, which involved both Iranian citizens and Gagik Tsarukyan.
Shirgolami explained that after the center's opening, the Iranian embassy consistently participated in resolving issues arising within the framework of this project, which aimed to boost bilateral trade.
He also noted that given the legal process currently underway, they hope for a resolution based on documents and evidence.
Recall that on July 6, Gagik Tsarukyan was detained and is accused of organizing fraud and money laundering on a large scale.
