Armenia's government allocates 3.14 billion drams to fulfill obligations to exporters

The export support program covers agricultural products and alcoholic beverages

The Armenian government has decided to allocate 3.14 billion drams to fulfill its obligations to exporters during a cabinet meeting on July 9. Minister of Economy Gevork Papoyan noted that since June, the government has been implementing measures to diversify markets.

As part of this program, financial support is provided to entrepreneurs for the export of agricultural products, flowers, and certain types of alcoholic beverages.

Papoyan added that in June, 784 tons of peppers, 200 tons of tomatoes, 103 tons of strawberries, 3,000 tons of apricots, 1,400 tons of cherries, 1.5 million liters of mineral water, 2,800 liters of grape wine, and 1.3 million liters of other alcoholic products were exported.

Thus, in June and July, Armenian fruits were exported to 15 countries, flowers to 25 countries, and vegetables to 8 countries.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the presented figures indicate that the balanced policy of the authorities is yielding results.
