YEREVAN, July 9. /ARKA/. Armenia must prepare to diversify the export of apricots and other agricultural products to reduce dependence on a single market, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated:
“Last year, farmers sold apricots at an average of 200 drams, this year – within 400–600 drams. This is also a factor that needs to be considered,” Pashinyan said at a government meeting:
According to him, the yield of apricots is cyclical: there are years of bumper harvests and years of low yields:
“We have time to prepare for a situation in which we can maximize the diversification of apricot and other agricultural product exports and not depend solely on one market,” Pashinyan said:

Since June 12, 2026, Russia has restricted the import of all quarantine products originating from and sent from Armenia, as well as their transit through Russia to EAEU member states:
