Prosecutor's Office Discovers Violations in Ararat Cement's Mining Process

A number of violations and illegal use of subsoil have been identified

The Prosecutor's Office, within the framework of its authority to protect state (municipal) interests, has discovered a number of violations in the mining process conducted by Ararat Cement:

Specifically, since 2008, Ararat Cement has obtained permission from the authorized body for the extraction of travertine and clay, which includes various purpose-designated land plots in the communities of Ararat region.

Subsequently, the company, in violation of the requirements of RA legislation, engaged in illegal subsoil use to avoid paying annual rent and property tax obligations.

The prosecutor, having identified signs of an obvious crime, submitted a report to the competent investigative body on July 16, 2026.
