The 11th division of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department of the State Revenue Committee received operational information that a company engaged in the retail trade of liquefied gas, gasoline, and diesel fuel in the Berd community of Tavush province does not fully reflect the revenues from sales in the calculations submitted to the tax authorities. This was reported by the press service of the SRC.
“The department's employees thoroughly analyzed the received data, developed a sequence of actions, after which comprehensive measures were taken. Data regarding the company's activities were collected and examined, including internal accounting and draft documents. These data were compared with the tax calculation data submitted by the company to the SRC for the same periods,” the statement said.
It was found that during the period from 2021 to 2026, the company underreported about 1.3 billion drams from the sales of gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas. As a result, approximately 415 million drams were not calculated and paid to the state budget.
A report on the alleged crime has been submitted to the Main Investigation Department for Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee, where a criminal case has been initiated.
The State Revenue Committee urges taxpayers to refrain from such corrupt behavior and to act transparently, while citizens are asked to demand cash register receipts or other accounting documents as stipulated by law for the fuel purchased,” the statement added.
