Investigative actions at the 'Araratcement' plant have concluded, and the investigators have left, but the entrance to the administrative building and offices remain sealed. This was reported by the acting director of the plant, Artem Poghosyan, in an interview with the 'Kentron' TV channel.
As it is known, from early morning, searches have been conducted at the home of the leader of the BHK, Gagik Tsarukyan, as well as at various properties owned by him, including the 'Olimpavan' sports and health complex, the 'Ararat' brandy-wine and vodka factory in Yerevan, hotels, and more. The Investigative Committee reports that simultaneous searches are being conducted at more than 70 addresses as part of over ten criminal cases.
“At around 7:30 in the morning, a large-scale 'assault' occurred, even intimidating security personnel, using force and threatening arrest. The plant operates in shifts: on-site employees were removed, while those arriving for the next shift were not allowed to enter, paralyzing the operations of a plant with over 1000 employees,” Poghosyan stated.
According to him, the investigators presented a court decision, which, however, indicated that searches in offices and adjacent areas were prohibited.
“When we pointed this out, their response was that they were acting on their own authority, and we should go and complain,” Poghosyan noted.
He stated that enormous damages are currently being inflicted on the plant's operations. The priority is the payment for over 1000 employees. Cement production has been halted, which, according to Poghosyan, could lead to a collapse of construction activities in the country.
The investigators have already left the plant. According to Poghosyan, nothing was seized from the plant, but it is unclear how the plant will operate with sealed doors.
