Employees of 'Araratcement' are staging a protest at the factory premises this morning, demanding the opportunity to restore production processes. The factory's operations were halted on July 6 when the area was sealed off, preventing employees from fulfilling their duties.
It is worth noting that early on July 6, law enforcement conducted searches at the residence of the leader of the BHK, Gagik Tsarukyan, as well as at several companies included in the Multi Group conglomerate. Among them was 'Araratcement', whose premises were sealed off.
The factory director, Artyom Poghosyan, stated in an interview with journalists that employees have not received any clear response regarding the situation.
“We have appealed to the Investigative Committee requesting the removal of the seals so that we can work and people can take care of their families. However, there has been no resolution to this point,” he said.
Poghosyan expressed concerns about the legality of the actions taken by law enforcement. He claims that the grounds on which the actions were carried out were insufficient to halt the factory's operations.
“We say that because of your actions people have lost their jobs, but the response is always the same: if you have a complaint, contact other authorities,” noted the director of 'Araratcement'.
The factory employees also pointed out that the current situation has created serious problems for them. They stated that many have credit and other financial obligations, and the factory's closure threatens their source of income.
“People here support families, earn a living. For us, this is not just a factory; it is a matter of our work and daily bread,” the employees stated.
