According to data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-May 2026, Armenia produced 20,203.3 million cigarettes. This represents a 4% increase compared to the comparable figure for 2025.
It is worth noting that in 2025, cigarette production in Armenia increased by 35.4% and amounted to 50,028.6 million units. In 2024, cigarette production increased by 5.4% and reached 36,940.1 million units. In 2023, cigarette production rose by 22.5% to 35,044.3 million units. In 2022, the production of cigarettes increased by 16.5% and totaled 28,599.4 million units. In 2021, production decreased by 12.8% to 24,557.3 million units. In 2020, there was a decline of 16.8%, with 28,171.4 million cigarettes produced.
In 2019, there was a growth of 7.2%, with 33,874 million cigarettes produced. In 2018, cigarette production also increased by 11% and totaled 28,476.6 million units, while in 2017, the growth was 19.9%, producing 28,476.6 million cigarettes. In 2016, the growth in cigarette production was 30%, with 23,754.4 million units produced. In 2015, production increased by 43.1%, totaling 18,277.1 million units. In 2014, 12,774.2 million cigarettes were produced, in 2013 — 7,730 million, in 2012 — 6,155 million, and in 2011 — 3,361 million.
