According to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-May 2026, Armenia produced 9,328.5 tons of cheese. Compared to the same period last year, the production volume decreased by 2.2%.
At the same time, butter production increased by 0.5% to 1,287.3 tons. Milk production decreased by 31.1% to 5,503.2 tons.
The production volume of cottage cheese increased by 27.9% to 1,493.0 tons. Yogurt production increased by 24% to 5,211.9 tons, while sour cream production increased by 2.4% to 3,238.1 tons.
Ice cream production decreased by 16.1% to 4,053.7 thousand liters.
